Contract award Siemens Wind Power, Butendiek

We are pleased to announce our third project for 2014 as SweOffshore was chosen to provide the accommodation vessel to Siemens Wind Power for the offshore wind park Butendiek. All preparations of the vessel took place in Esbjerg, Denmark, from where Moby Corse once upon a time sailed to Harwich.

- It was a challenge for us to mobilize the vessel in such a short window of time, that was required by Siemens, and we were happy to deliver the vessel to Siemens Wind Power in Esbjerg on the 3rd of October. This was achieved in a close cooperation with Siemens Wind Power, with all parties finding good solutions and showing flexibility, says Anders Nordlund, Chairman of the board, SweOffshore Maritime AB.

Butendiek offshore wind farm will consist of 80 3,6 MW Siemens wind turbines with a total output of 288 MW. The park will be able to provide CO2-free electricity to meet the needs of 370,000 households annually. Please visit the project homepage here.
